Overview
The Knipex 78 61 150 SBA 6-in. Slim Knips is a zip tie cutter and thin wire cutter designed for electronics, low-voltage and network work where space is tight.
A blue slide lock keeps the tool secure when it is not in use. To put tension on a zip tie, open the handles and slide the lock forward to engage the handle stop, which keeps the blades from closing completely. An opening spring with a built-in limiter makes repetitive cutting comfortable.
Offset micro cutting edges give a precise shear cut on thin wire. Cut soft materials only, such as stranded wire up to 12 AWG and plastic zip ties up to 1/4-in. wide. This version is made from special tool steel with a burnished finish. Cutting edge hardness is about 56 HRC, the handles are impact-resistant plastic, and an integrated tether point works with a tool drop protection system.
